Graduation at Spondon

This week all of Mary's BFA class at Spondon completed their two year Bridge course. Congratuations to all concerned. The picture shows Mary presenting first prize to Dave Taylor, who obtained the highest mark in the final test (93%). Well done!

Also in the prizes were Barbara and Martin Angold, Jo Minor and Jo Bakshi.

Pym Berry Trophy

 

Congratulations to Pat and Tony Johnstone for winning the Pym Berry Trophy for beginners/improving players, with an impressive 66% score. This was held at Spondon on Monday Dec.17^th. Also in the prizes were:

2^nd Gordon and Eileen Jordan 64%

3^rd Mick Gavigan and Iris White 61%

4^th Mary Cater and Chris Johnson 57%

Supervised Play With Pym

Every Thursday at 7pm, at Spondon, Pym is holding a supervised play session.  This is suitable for beginners and intermediate players who wish to practise and discuss the hands they have played.  Table money is £3.

No Fears Pairs Evenings Begin on Friday May 4th

Everyone is welcome from beginner to expert.  You can come with your favourite partner or we will find you a partner.  The catch is that eveyone has to play the same system, Standard English (Acol in old money).  For a limited period of time the table money is just £2!

No Fears Friday evenings will alternate with Swiss Pairs.
